Teaching Theology and Religion will publish:
- Teaching and Learning Articles
Articles on teaching and learning in theology and religion, focusing on: diverse styles of learning, the philosophy and theology of teaching, assessment in theology of religion, relation between teaching church history and theology, objectivity and advocacy in teaching, information technology and theological teaching, contextualization of teaching in different countries, and other issues in teaching and learning.
- Notes from the Classroom
Shorter articles that critically reflect on concrete examples of classroom teaching practice. Essays should describe the teaching context, the goals of the teaching moment, and critically reflect on the pedagogical decisions made and the evidence of their effects.
- Book Reviews
Short reviews of books on teaching practices, the vocation of teaching, the seminary and liberal arts educational traditions, learning theory, teaching and technology, and other topics in the broad area of teaching and learning in higher education. Reviews of books not directly focused on the teaching of theology and religion should draw that connection for our readers, and explain the implications of the reviewed book for teachers of theology and religion specifically.
