Monastic Interreligious Dialogue
"The Monastic Interreligious Dialogue, MID, was established by the Benedictine Confederation in 1978 to assume a leadership role in the dialogue between Christianity and the great religions of the East, in cooperation with all others engaged in this dialogue. MID encourages the participation of North American Christian monastics in the encounter between Eastern religions and Christianity by developing conversations, encounters, and mutual exchange between monastics of different religions. MID sponsors conferences and seminars on East-West dialogue and monastic spirituality, has an ongoing intermonastic exchange with Tibetan monks and nuns exiled in India, and has a network of contact people from each US monastery."

Raven's Bread: Food for Those in Solitude
"Raven's Bread, Food for Those in Solitude is a newsletter designed to meet the needs of hermits, especially their desire to connect with others who share their values. Simply knowing that others are 'out there' provides heart-warming assurance that they are not alone in their life-choice. We offer the option of connection without joining; of companionship without intrusion; of guidance without judgment."

Conventual Fransciscans
"Our Order is spread throughout the world, structured into various Provinces (geographical regions), and includes about 5000 priests and brothers who are all commonly called Friars. There are five provinces in North America, and a jurisdiction in the UK and Ireland. Depending on climate and jurisdiction, we wear a black or gray habit with a simple three-knotted cord representing our Vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience. This is different from the brown garment typically worn by other Franciscan communities."
