Jerusalem 3000: Celebrating Three Millenia of History
"This exhibition presents a selection of maps and views to illustrate the history of Jerusalem as it celebrates the 3000th anniversary of its establishment as the capital of King David's unified Kingdom of Israel. Many of these documents are centuries old. Some of them are imaginary and idealized portrayals based on Scriptural interpretation, and reflect the ideologies and religious persuasions of their makers. Others are objective depictions derived from historical records or eyewitness observations. The rest are combinations of reality and fantasy. Together, their powerful visual images provide a broad perspective on three millennia of Jerusalem's eventful history." Maintained at the University of Southern Maine.

Jewish Encyclopedia
"This website contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906. The Jewish Encyclopedia, which recently became part of the public domain, contains over 15,000 articles and illustrations. This online version contains the unedited contents of the original encyclopedia. Since the original work was completed almost 100 years ago, it does not cover a significant portion of modern Jewish History (e.g., the creation of Israel, the Holocaust, etc.). However, it does contain an incredible amount of information that is remarkably relevant today."

Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies
"The ICJS is an educational organization which addresses the contemporary challenges of religious pluralism by helping to shape a new relationship between Christians and Jews. Through careful and in depth studies of their sacred writings and traditions, the Institute enables clergy and lay leaders: To reexamine the meaning of their religious assumptions, particularly about one another; To question the theological distortions and misconceptions which have contributed to historical conflict between Christians and Jews; To develop the resources within their respective communities which inspire both Christians and Jews to appreciate the legitimacy and distinctiveness of each religion."

Khazaria Info Center
"Over a thousand years ago, the far east of Europe was ruled by Jewish kings who presided over numerous tribes, including their own tribe: the Turkic Khazars. After their conversion, the Khazar people used Jewish personal names, spoke and wrote in Hebrew, were circumcised, had synagogues and rabbis, studied the Torah and Talmud, and observed Hanukkah, Pesach, and the Sabbath. The Khazars were an advanced civilization with one of the most tolerant societies of the medieval period. It hosted merchants from all over Asia and Europe. On these pages it is hoped that you may learn more about this fascinating culture."

Union of Jewish Congregations in Latin America and the Caribbean
"The Union of Jewish Congregations of Latin America and the Caribbean (UJCL) -- was born in February 1998 in Costa Rica. The Union arose out of a very successful First Conference, attended by representatives of Progressive Jewish communities in the region. The UJCL strives to preserve the continuity of Judaism in the region and to give a voice to all the small liberal communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. These would otherwise remain ignored and isolated, left to face by themselves the multiple challenges to survival inherent in micro-communities."
