The Multiple Impacts of AI on Theological Education
Proposal abstract :
The importance of generative AI and its multiple impacts on education and society can hardly be overstated. This project aims to provide a diverse cohort of educators at Drew University with a deeper understanding of the technological, pedagogical, ethical, and societal significance of generative AI. Through a series of informative and community-building salon style meetings with experts in these various aspects of AI, this project will equip the cohort to serve as “in-house consultants” to the Drew Theological School and to the wider University community. Cohort members will produce a sophisticated, multi-modal LibGuide or information hub/research tool that will be available to all students, faculty, and administrators. In this way, the project will establish a solid foundation for further learning about generative AI and its multiple impacts on higher education and the world.
