What are the eligibility requirements?
Eligibility requirements vary depending on the specific workshop or colloquy. See the description of the specific program for details. The Wabash Center welcomes participation from any of the various subdisciplines of the field of religious studies and theology: biblical studies, theology, historical studies, practical theology, comparative religion, area or cultural studies, ethics, etc. However, most of our programs are limited to faculty with full time appointments in either an accredited seminary/theological school, or an accredited college or university religion or religious studies department. (There may be exceptions in cases where the college or university does not have a religious studies or religion department.) Eligibility for a Pre-Tenure Workshop is restricted to faculty who will not learn their final decision regarding tenure until after > the ending date of the final Workshop meeting.
What are the stipends?
Each of the fifteen participants will receive a stipend of $3,000 for full participation in the three sessions plus local expensive and travel. Participating will be eligible for noncompetitive fellowships of $7,000 to advance their professional development by providing seven weeks for approved initiatives for research and writing in the summer of 2007.
